Try Fitness Classes for Free

When: Dec. 17-Dec. 31, 2018

Where: Countryside YMCA - Lebanon & Landen

If you’ve been wondering what all is available at Countryside YMCA, now’s your chance to come in and try YMCA fitness classes for free. With five fitness studios – including a designated yoga and pilates studio and a designated spin studio – now is a great time to explore the Y. From December 17 through December 31 adult fitness classes are free at the Lebanon and Landen Countryside YMCA locations. The Y is also open on January 1, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and limited free fitness.

“This is a chance for members to try something different for free. And potential members can also come into the Y these weeks and try our fitness classes,” said Jasmine Lee Countryside YMCA Director of Health and Wellness. The Y offers Pilates, Yoga, Barre®, TRX, Boot Camp and more. The Y offers classes specifically for beginners, as well as classes for those with an established workout routine.

During the past year, the Y has added a variety of new classes including P90X Live®! Insanity Live! ®, STRONG by Zumba®, and Core de Force®. In addition, the Y invested in SPINNER Chrono power bikes for cycle spin. "We are always looking for the latest and greatest equipment and programs to offer our members while also giving them opportunities to connect with others, " said Zach McCollum, Executive Director of Programs at the Y.

Not sure where to start?  New members can participate in complimentary Member Coaching, a one-on-one coaching experience which helps new members come up with a personalized wellness plan that fits their goals, interests, and lifestyle.  This is followed by periodic check-ins and provides the guidance and support needed for new members to get the most of their membership. Member Coach Gale Kerniz said, “New members and their families are important to us. Countryside YMCA is a big place, and we love to work with members to make the Y a little smaller and more accessable.”

“We work every day to improve the wellbeing of people in our community by providing resources and guidance to improve physical activity, health and wellness,” said Chris Johnson Countryside YMCA CEO. “Offering free fitness classes is just one more way to to empower people in their efforts toward healthy living,” he added.

Countryside YMCA has two locations. The Lebanon location at 1699 Deerfield Rd. Lebanon, OH 45036 is a 230,000 sq. ft. facility, built on 126 acres of land and is one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. The Landen location at 2894 US 22/3 Maineville OH 45039 is a smaller facility designed to serve Deerfield Township residents with fitness opportunities, youth classes, and a preschool.
